The or No The? is designed to be simple to play without creating an online account.
The game uses your browser's local storage to remember information such as player profiles, scores, streaks, achievements, Daily Challenge progress and game preferences. Player profile data remains stored locally. When a Daily Challenge or Daily Streak Challenge is completed, the game sends an anonymous completion record containing the game type, date and score so we can understand play volumes and difficulty. It does not include your player name, leaderboard name, email address or X username.
You can remove this locally stored game data by clearing website data in your browser. Doing so may reset your profiles, scores, streaks and other saved progress.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process standard technical information needed to deliver, operate and protect the website, such as IP addresses, browser/device information, requests and server logs. We do not use this information to build player profiles.
The or No The? uses Google Analytics to help us understand how the website is used and improve the game. Google Analytics may process information about visits and device/browser activity in accordance with Google's own privacy practices. We do not intentionally send player names, scores, streaks or Daily Challenge results to Google Analytics as custom analytics data. Where consent or additional choices are required by applicable law, we will provide them.
If you choose to support the game, the donation is handled on PayPal's website. PayPal processes the payment and information you provide under PayPal's own terms and privacy practices. Payment card or bank details are not entered into or stored by The or No The? website.
The site may link to third-party services. Their privacy practices are their responsibility once you leave this website.
This notice may be updated as the game develops, particularly if accounts, analytics, advertising or other online features are introduced.
